"The Next Person You Meet In Heaven" Book Review

I could honestly say that "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" was one of the best books I have ever read, so when I found out that "The Next Person You Meet In Heaven" is taking up the same concept I was excited, but I was also in doubt that the plotline will be similar, which luckily didn't happen.

"The Next Person You Meet In Heaven" is about a woman named Annie who, supposedly, dies while saving her husband after they get into an air balloon accident. The story revolves around her arrival into the afterlife where she meets 5 people, whom she impacted or got impacted by. The writer presents his thought of heaven as a place where all our earthly questions are answered and where everything comes together.

You start sympathizing with Annie and relating to her feelings of regret, anger and disappointment towards herself for things she thought were her mistakes, then to the happiness, content, and satisfaction after she receives her explanations.

One of the 5 people Annie meets is Eddie, who is the main character of "The Five People You Meet in Heaven,” which is why reading "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" before reading this book is recommended, it makes your vision clearer, and gives you a strong background about core events in "The Next Person You Meet In Heaven,” not reading it though won't affect your understanding of the plot in any way.

"The Next Person You Meet In Heaven" puts you in a state where you only expect an enjoyable journey with all its surprises and riddles, and tricks you into thinking of an insignificant ending, but then it hits you right in the face with a huge plot twist in the last 2-3 pages. "The Next Person You Meet In Heaven” is totally a book I would recommend and, if you see that "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" offered a strong plotline, "The Next Person You Meet In Heaven" will offer you both a strong story and the pleasure of a plot twist.
