The Perfect Puzzle

They were completely different.

She liked cold, she liked blankets, hugs, hot chocolate, scarfs, and fresh-baked cookies.
He liked hot, he liked shorts, beaches, sunglasses, pineapples, and tans.
They decided to split up, they both believed they weren’t right for each other.
“Can we at least try some .. couple therapy, maybe?” He requested.
She agreed. Although they were antonyms, they both believed in second chances.

Later that day... :

The therapist: “Let me tell you something really funny,

In 54 BC,
Romans were first to experience a very rare phenomenon called “mock suns” that only happens in Winter.
It was beautiful, two mock suns rose with the sun and followed it all through the day until sunset. People then gazed at its beauty all day.

Only in summer, the north of the Arctic Circle has the sun visible for 24 hours, “Midnight Sun” they call it.
With the two artistic colors; white and yellow, an incredibly dazzling piece of art is painted, the most jaw-dropping view you could ever see.

The thing about you two is that you’re perfect for each other.
You bond beautifully and create a mixture that’s defined as a piece of art.
You are not normal, you’re exceptional.
He didn’t let go of you easily, he stayed, just like the sun at the Arctic Circle.
She made you reflect her crystals, to fill her sky with yourself, the most precious and irreplaceable thing she has.
And because all the others are normal, they gaze at you, and you think that you should gaze at each other too, but that’s not what happens, you two gaze at the world .. together, and that’s what makes you special.
I would suggest you two now express how you love each other, write it in a paper, fold it, and give it to your partner.”

He wrote: “You know how much I suck at writing –you’re the writer-, but I remember how much you like Perry Poetry, I remember everything you highlighted from it, so here’s what I think sums it all up:
We’re a mess
you and I
but the truth is,
you captivate me in ways
no soul ever will.
Your love, Summer.”

She wrote: “I remember how many times you replayed “Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Elvis Presley in the car.
so,
Like A river flows surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand, take my whole life too
For I can’t help falling in love with you.
Sincerely, Winter.”

Sometimes, we love different things to build the perfect puzzle.
Differences are beautiful and satisfying.
