From the shore, we see

Shades of blue and green 

Beauty like no other 

Calmness that fills the soul 

Small creatures moving around 

Inner peace is captured inside 

Those who enjoy the sea 

But deep inside lay 

Monsters at bay 

Those who venture deep 

Return with scars so profound 

Mercy is nowhere to be found 

Inside the belly of the beast 

Some survive with half a mind 

Some are lost in the sea 

Vast and beautiful 

Deadly and merciless 

Its reputation is known 

It is feared, it is beloved 

It breaks hearts and heals souls 

It is scandalous to adore 

It is the sea
