surviving a restless world

The world is kind of competitive-themed right now; you probably feel the urge to do something, and you probably couldn’t define this particular something you’re pushing yourself too hard to achieve. The rushed state of “having to accomplish” is rather unhealthy –and yes, motivation could distort into toxicity if it isn’t done the right way or if it’s overdosed.

In addition to the immense strain and discomfort caused by endlessly aiming to be (perfect?), the continuous rush blinds you. It covers your eyes from taking in the world around you, it makes your mind rambled and confused –you couldn’t even have the space to think: am I really exerting enormous effort in something I want?

The frantic waves could make you drift so far away. And it’s so unfair, after all, to crash into somewhere you have never chosen.

I’m here to remind you (while strongly reminding myself, too) that we are humans. We are mild yet strong human beings. And while we have the strength to do so many things, we need to carefully pick where and how we will invest in our energy. We need to invest in our own blooming and prosperity, too –the things which aren’t usually forced upon us the same way like overachievement.

Disconnect from the chaos for a while and rethink whether your hectic race is towards the right finishing line –sometimes we do get confused, we get stained from all the tasteless splash of colors thrown around us. But all we need is a bit of clarity.

Your own goals are precious and deserve to be cherished and respected, however big or small they may seem compared to other people’s plans –we are all different vibrant stories with a spontaneous variety of scenarios and plots, and each different storyline is beautiful. Just make sure that your storyline is indeed yours, fitting well into your unique soul and dreams.
