Gazing to the gloomy sky, daydreaming. 

I began recalling our last moments together 

With a heavy heart, sobbing

I remember it all. 

Immensely nervous I was, heart skipping beats

Butterflies filling up my stomach

Hands trembled

As I eagerly anticipated your presence.

I remember...

The moment you arrived

Sat beside me, near me

Eyes were focused on each other

Your smile so delicate and charming

It filled up my heart with joy. 

I remember...

The night ended

We went our separate ways, separate paths

I broke down, 

I never wanted it to end

Hoping it may just last forever; 

us together. 

But hope was not enough.

Was just not meant to be.
