this, too, shall pass

Ever since the quarantine started we've all been going through many phases, some people started out extremely productive and then their productivity started to decrease, some saw it as a chance to disconnect and focus on themselves for very much needed self-time, some saw it as a break from their hectic lives, and some hated it from the start and still do. No matter how differently we all coped with this pandemic - and still are -, there is one thing I've noticed all of us are going through - self-improvement. Not going to lie, I myself am going through an existential crisis, and everything for me seems like one big question mark, but I'm slowly realising this isn't just me! So many people are on a whole self-discovery path ever since lockdown, we've all been spending so much time alone and I feel like it has uncovered so many issues that we're only just learning about, and being stuck at home is forcing us to deal with these issues. So many influencers have been posting about how they want to use their platforms more wisely now or use it to do more good, some have opened up about being affected by seeing posts that portray perfect lives for others even though they know it's not true and that they ARE one of the people whose lives seem so perfect online, some of us are suddenly discovering new passions, trying new activities, starting on a plan they've been planning for months but couldn't get a headstart on; us staying at home is the therapy we all needed!

However, it is important to keep in mind that even if you're not on that road, that is okay too. Nobody can tell you how you should be feeling or what you should be going through, and this hasn't been easy on anyone, so even if your biggest improvement has been getting out of bed, celebrate it! If you feel like you're on the right track, then you are. If you don't feel like you have issues to solve, that's fine too. This post doesn't in any way say that this is where you need to be at, it is simply an observation that I can be right or wrong about, but for the time being, embrace whatever you're feeling or going through, for this, too, shall pass.
