Soad Hosny - A Tragical Suicide or a Planned Murder?

When big stars pass away, the first question that pops in our minds is “How did it happen?”. This is exactly what everyone wondered when The Cinderella, Soad Hosny, died under mysterious circumstances in 2001.

The 58-year-old actress was found dead under her friend’s apartment’s balcony in London; the tragic death sparked a lot of questions that remain unanswered till this day. 

The British officials were shocked when they investigated the apartment, as Soad’s head was found almost shaved, and her pair of shoes were found in different rooms. Detectives also revealed that the apartment was oddly messy. Suspicious, right? But that’s not all.

Later, DNA samples found hair traces between the actress’ fingernails, which apparently belonged to an unknown female!

Despite all the given evidence, the British authorities were quick to declare the death as suicide, which was extremely surprising given that she had a generally optimistic persona. 

Millions of conspiracy theories arose, specially because it was later found out that at the time, Soad allegedly kept a secret diary where she kept a record of every single detail of her life, where she apparently exposed unethical acts done by various well-known Egyptian officials.

This made several individuals claim that the death was planned, as her diary was never found since her tragic death.

The star’s sister eventually filed a complaint to ask for a reopening for the case, claiming that their lawyer, Brlinty Sekhon, has found evidence that will surprise many. However, this complaint was struck with a dead end, as an Egyptian judge in 2014 suspended further investigations regarding the case.

Her death certainly left millions of individuals disheartened and puzzled. Although we may not know the exact details that lead to Soad Hosny’s death, we will always remember her lovely personality and outstanding work.
