"On the Margin"

What is odd often becomes the world's sphere of interest, wrapped and contained with mystery. Like these unsolved puzzles, that are always eye-catching, but far-fetched to comprehend. There are those who live at the edges, whom I often refer to as "The Unseen" or "The Invisibles," who are the most preceptive players in our society. People who are uniquely different from the others in a frame of many aspects. We might call them the "Non-fit" party. Instinctually, they draw themselves to live on the margins of society, living beyond the conventional standards dictated by the mainstream. They surround us everywhere, they could be among our siblings, neighbors, friends, etc. Unknowingly, you might be in contact with them or met them somewhere. But this is not a great deal or an issue to be scared of, because most people think that there is something "wrong," and this is not true in all possible ways. It is natural for others to acknowledge that there are others around who happen to be different.

Normality for "The Unseen" is such a foreign concept to follow, they already have their own concept of "normality." Even in their attitude to what the society believes in, they respond differently with a definitive manner in conformity with their values and beliefs. The large part of society, or the mainstream, share almost the same worldview as most people. On the contrary, here comes the role of "The Unseen" to question this collectively shared worldview perceived by society, and therefore adding their contribution. This actually does not make them weird at all, but rather reinforces their position in society as unique. As everything is not what it seems, they can often be mistaken for their attitude or beliefs; people might see it as a foul play to fill the void of non-present attention. However, the truth is not what others perceive.

Despite being thrown in seclusion and deprived of societal privileges provided by their communities, they happen to evolve exponentially regardless of their non-existent social power. They observe, listen, analyze, and form a solid view of what happens around them. On the margin, there lies the power of their existence and the meaning of who they are. It is where they draw their strength and comfort. They perceive it as a safe haven, a shelter to take cover, and a spot for higher thinking. In the sense that they are being shut and pushed to the margins, they happen to thrive, struggle, and resist alien thoughts that could affect their beliefs. Most of them take it as a position of resistance to overpower the influence of the outside society. Together they constitute a powerful structure and Identity of who they are. The more they are inside their boundaries, the more they preserve their power.
